Ok, I do not want to start a feud but...
: Blah blah, punk died.
I pretty much agree with you, however there are new "levels"...
: Punk isn't music to begin with.
What is? A hill billy with a banjo or a guy talking about his "Achey Breay Heart".
People who say punk IS music or clothing should be drug out onto the street and shot.
A bit harsh if you ask me.
Not that I buy into it to begin with, I routinely make fun of the "punk" kids at school because they look damn rediculous.
That is nice. So, do you where your Abercrombie and Fitch shirts with your crisp tight slacks?
This is a form of punk music. What signifies punk music is fast instruments and a few chords per song. That's it.
Well, I suppose. However, like a lot of other GOOD music, it is poetry that the writer is showing through his or her lyrics.
This modern era of punk is "pop punk," pop being the same type of pop that Britney or Christina is.
Ok, could you please give an example?
I don't knock it, because I like it, but I agree that it's not "real" punk music.
You just did...
: But it is an inception. Or a modern spawning of.
: Whatever.
Whatever indeed.

Music is music, whether it sucks or makes sense. It all depends on: "If it is too loud, your too old"
