: : So there's no chance of a Dogma : Director's cut? Any of the films, re-edited with the directors 'intended vision'?

: Kevin has always stated that the released versions of his films ARE his "intended visions" and hense, the director's cuts. Deleted scenes in the supplements are just that- deleted scenes best viewed in the supplements and not in the final film. Maybe you disagree with some of his editing choices, but they were all hs choices and he's been very vocal that the only director's cuts of any of his films are the ones that were released to theaters.

I don't disagree at all. I'm just a little curious. The original intro to Mallrats was the whole Gov. Assassin scene. When it was eventually trimmed out, there were several references that had to be over-dubbed. Has he ever expressed regret that it was cut? Maybe thought it would have been a stronger intro, or fleshed out the story more? What I'm wondering is, isn't the way he wrote the script his 'intended vision'? Granted, I've never directed a movie, so I wouldn't know if I would second guess a script while shooting (that sounds harsher than intended, but I'm watching SNL, so I won't reword it).
