you didn't really address the question at hand,
do you think it was the book or the movie?
I'm still leaning towards movie myself.
Oh, and I knew there were Fletch books before you were shitting yellow.
: Posting at the top cos the whole Fletch tape/book debate is a way down the board now. (Check it out, it's the HUGE thread).
: Sorry, but you do realise that you're dedicating a large portion of your life to contemplating SERIOUSLY INSIGNIFICANT DETAILS about a MOVIE. Does Brodie have a book or a video of Fletch? Are you aware that probably Kevin Smith doesn't know the answer to the STUPID FUCKING QUESTION you are asking? IT IS NOT SIGNIFICANT. HE PROBABLY DIDN'T THINK ABOUT IT WHILE WRITING THE DIALOGUE. And yet you actually seem worried about this. It seems the answer to this question will change your perception of the movie. Or perhaps change your entire life. And I can't tell you how sad that is.
: I'm turning into one of those assholes that hassles people on this board for having no life, and that annoys me a bit but never mind.... I bet that, before Kevin announced that he wants to make another of the Fletch books into a movie, you didn't even know there WERE any Fletch books. And yet now it's part of the most important debate you've taken part in like, ever...
: Everyone on this board - go ahead, discuss View Askew movies. I think they're cool. I like the interconnectedness of them all. I like that you can discuss them. But there's a line. And a thread that takes up an entire screen discussing a throwaway, single reference to Fletch, be it a book or a video, that's doing a little more than crossing the line, that's sprinting past the line with your ass on fire cos you've been anally retaining for too long. I get the feeling that I'm coming off as sounding personally offended. That is not the case. I'm personally amazed. Read that thread and see what I mean. The first step in getting better is to admit you have a problem.
