Hi Guys (&Gals)

Quickie Dogma question which may have been asked & answered before but
thats Newbie Forum member for ya...

Ok, the question is,

Why/What was the reason for Loki to blast people away with a big F-OFF
gun? Was there an specific reason for not using a more comical effect..
i.e. Loki looks at victim, who immediately incinerates into ash, head
explodes, etc..

For me personally, I felt the Loki killing moments a tad cold blooded and
not in the vein of the rest of the movie. Maybe this is just me but it
felt we left a Kevin Smith movie and entered the world of Man Bites Dog/
Henry: Potrait of a Serial Killer....

So? Is there reasons for the cold blooded angle or was it lack of SFX
time/budget, etc?

Cheers

Elras
