I may be a film-illiterate bastard, but Bamboozled looked like the stock footage for a zombie movie I made on a high-8 one night last year. It just looked bad.
Although it sorta made sense when he used better quality film or whatever for the Minstril scenes. So I suppose it worked out symbolically.
