You heard that DV goes to DVD better? That's the most asinine thing I've ever read. However told you that should be shot.
DV transfered to DVD will look just like anything else shot on video and transfered to DVD. Look at the MALLRATS documentary for an example of what DVD transfered to DVD will look like.
