But the question is: What's more annoying, a few grammatical errors on a web board or a few people pointing out grammatical errors on a web board?
The point of language is to make yourself understood, which the original poster did quite successfully. I can't stand pedants.
And another thing - "Different meanings" is not a sentence. That should read "They have different meanings" or something like that.
And when you put a dash between two halves of a sentence it should have a space either side, otherwise it becomes a hyphen. "egg's-belonging" sounds like a posh surname.
And there should have been another full stop after the "g" in "e.g."
And...
: For grammar students, it is spelt:
: Easter eggs
: NOT Easter egg's
: Different meanings.
: e.g:
: The bike was Easter egg's-belonging to.
: I found a lot of Easter eggs-as in many of something.
: Man, if had a dollar for every time I've seen apostrophes misused:
: NOT CD's! CDs
: NOT VCR's! VCRs
: NOT TV's! TVs
: NOT DVD's! DVDs
: Get it right people!
