Dear Jason:

I will tell you what you've probably already heard a zillion times: You are among the greatest actors in your generation, I especially loved your performance in Chasing Amy, Kissing a Fool and HEARTBREAKERS!!!!!!!!!!!! Haven't seen Mallrats yet, but as soon as I get some free time from school, I'll definitely go rent it.

But enough with the praising, because you're probably fed up with it by now. I was reading those posts about scientology, and all I can say is I'm really sorry that you're being picked on over that. I have studied a little bit of their philosophy and I have to tell you that, despite my extreme skepticism about all things religious, Scientology has made a lot of sense to me. I'm at a point in my life where I'm experiencing a major existential crisis, so I'm looking for something that'll help me make sense out of this very very complicated world. I tend to babble on and on, so I'll try to keep this short.

Basically what I wanted to ask you is if you would be interested in playing the lead role in a period piece, a gothic romance to be more specific. There's a director at Castle Rock Entertainment who has taken an interest in the project and is waiting for me to finish the script.

I'm writing this script expressly for you to be the leading man, although I already know you're buried with work, but I'd really like to know if a role like that would interest you. I'm talking about a brooding, melancholic, very good looking hermit who is having an affair with a beautiful young blonde who's married to some rich guy. I'll say no more about it, other than the fact that this character is Heathcliff-like (from Wuthering Heights) and that the movie will be scary in a very gothic way.

I've already spoken with your agent's assistant and she said to go ahead and send in the script, but before I do that, I'd like to hear some feedback from you. Please hit me with it. Is this the kind of project you'd be interested in?

I'm determined to see you playing the lead role in a movie because I think you're long overdue for that, so please be kind enough to tell me what kind of project you'd like to do and I'll tailor the script especially for what you want.
