I'm sure we all heard about the crazy kid who plowed into a crowd of pedestrians with his car near UCSB in the town of Isla Vista on February 23rd. He killed, I think, 5 people and was apprehended by astonished and pissed-off vigilantes and was beaten. He is now going to trial and I hope he gets a hefty punishment.
Anyway, when I saw his face on TV and later (a few days ago) on the front page of the LA Times, I recognized him from a day of taping for Jay & Silent Bob Strike Back. I was an extra on the day we filmed the scenes with Morris Day & the Times at the El Rey theater in LA. I believe this was the 25th of January. The young man, named David Edward Attias, was there that day as an extra. He was pissing everyone off that day, being very annoying, and publicly trying to sell weed to everyone. His disturbances throughout the day eventually got him escorted out by set security, to a standing ovation by all the worn-out, annoyed people. We were all relieved that he ws gone. I remember thinking to myself, 'i can see that kid ending up on the news for doing something stupid', and sure enough he did. He killed a bunch of people. Horrible.
Anyway, just thought I'd point out the fact that he was at the taping, and I'd like some feedback from others that were at the taping that day who can verify the fact that it WAS him.
