VERY well put, my friend. I must say, the people on this board can
really show true class. Thanks. I'm off to bed! Goodnight.
Jason.
Earlier you answered my post in regards to Scientology. Probably
what got this whole mess started. When I said something to the
effect of 'being told to set up a career plan like Travolta', you
responded that Scientology doesn't make you do anything. I
essentially paraphrased what Travolta himself said on the recent
Barbara Walters interview. He and his wife said that they both set up
a career guideline according to the way the church suggests. That
might be where I got confused. Suggesting something and telling
someone to do something are two far different things. What initially
was intended as a slight towards Travolta's career choices
(Micheal/Look Who's Talking Again/Battlefield Earth) was seen by
people as a slight against Scientology. It wasn't.
: A few notes to Lee and the others here.
: As a Catholic, I know what it's like to have people scoff at my
religion. When you have beliefs since childhood, and people make
snide comments about things they don't know or understand... it
sucks. It's the easy way out. It's base. One of the rudest things I've
read was that someone is 'dissapointed' in Lee for being part of a
'cult'. When does a religion switch from a 'cult' to a 'religion'? I'm not
qualified to judge. My guess is you're not either.
: To whoever posted the link to rotten.com. Lawyers spend between
6 to 12 years learning how to make 'the other side' look bad. What
you have linked is one side of a story. If there was any merit to the
charges, the case wouldn't have been dismissed. There is no doubt
paperwork from the Scientologists lawyers disproving what was
presented. So convincing was it, that the case was dropped. The
problem comes out of the fact that weird coincedences happen to
people sometimes. A Jewish woman's baby dies. Do we blame the
Torrah? A catholic's parents die in a car accident. Well, the Pope
must be covering up something then, huh?
: Habib. You're an idiot.
: Jason. You're one of the most down to earth celebs out there. To
tell the truth, I'm about to e-mail everyone I know and tell them that
you answered my questions. Except for the whole Lee vs. Campbell
thing. But that's o.k.
