I think Kevin intentionally left it hanging. Everyone can draw their own conclusions. I prefer to think that Alyssa is still looking for love, but Holden taught her not to close any doors that may lead to it. Banky learned that you can not stop love, even when you do not agree with it. And Holden has learned that when you do find love, just hold it tight -- you never know when it will end.
*Of course, that s just my opinion, I could be wrong.*
