It's true, usually after 10 pages people throw out the script. So you
have to get their atention. Nothing grabbed my attention other than the
fact that everything is borrowed form other movies.
Also, the 4 guys planning a trip is not that original, Countless movies
have been made about guys planning a trip or taking a trip.
I agree with the statement that there are too many pop culture
references. The pop culture ref thing is way overdone. It's the whole
basic style of your script that's unoriginal. It's very formulaic.
Slacker types get together
slacker types have witty dialog
pop culture references used as gag jokes
slacker types plan trip
Your script isn't bad, it's just not original enough to get attention. I've
seen far worse scripts made into movies. All i'm saying is, put it
aside, write something original, and once you are established you'll
probably sell the BORED script.
