Reasons:

1. it plays fine when you save it to your hard disk and open it with
Quicktime Player.

2. It plays fine when you save it to your hard disk and open it with
Internet Explorer.

3. It plays fine when you put it on your own server and access it from
there.

even the most basic of all basic quicktime installs should play a .mov
file. that's kinda the point, y'know? : )
