I will admit, I am not going to be psoting all that much. I have a rather hectic life outside of the internet. But, believe it or not, I am going to admit to being one of those "I had to send this" people..
I finally saw the movies about a month ago.
I am a contrarian by nature. When all of my friends are quoting dumb movies, telling me I should see them, then re-enacting them for me, I do not get inspired, I get annoyed. Thusly, I don't really want to see said movies.
Well, after 8 years of hearing "I'm not even supposed to be here!" from fellow co-workers and the ever-irritating (Sorry, Mr. Mewes) "Snootchy-bootchy!" I decided to see what all the fuss is about.
I rented Clerks, Mall Rats and Chasing Amy, secluded myself in my bedroom, and as soon as Randall pulled the keys of the counter, laughed my ass off for about 6 straight hours.
A few days later I watched Dogma for the first time. And got a kick out it as well. I now have a few words for Mr. Smith....
When did Jay and Bob ever fucking sleep?!?!?!
We are looking at Clerks and Mallrats here. About a 36 hour run, Jay and Bob are smoking like a factory, and they never crash!?!?! DAMN!
I met Brian O'Halleran (sp?) in Toronto a little while ago, for a screening of Clerks. He doesn't know the answer to this one. But this is irrelevant now. I thought Clerks was "first". I nowknow different. (I own the Criterion Chasing Amy)
Anyway, to make a long story short (too late) I think you are definately a bloody genius. I look forward to "J&SBSB" ( I can't believe I am saying that!)
I would like to meet you in person one day. From seeing your face on the tube, I believe you to be a strongly intelligent man. And very friendly. I envy your current friends, they know a good man.
Anyway, I am off. Enough of your time. In a cheesy attept to "Marvel"ize you. 'Till Randal gets a real job, here's to ya!
