There are a great many places (on the web, in books, in magazines, etc.) to find out about all stages of production. Kevin, while being a pretty cool guy, is in the midst of finishing a film right now, so what little time he does spend on the boards lately would probably not be spent breaking his own board rules.
I have a website, FilmJerk.com, which in addition to looking at the world of entertainment in a sarcastic manner also includes interviews with a number of independent filmmakers. Our interviewer, whose moniker is Dark Savant, is also an independent filmmaker, so he knows what to ask. We have two up so far (one with Jessica Lysyj, a Canadian filmmaker who is about to go into production on a film with Brian O'Halloran) and both talk about the perils and pratfalls of independent filmmaking. We'll be posting a third interview within the week and we should have an interview with long time indie film stalwart Lloyd Kaufman soon.
But don't hold your breath for an answer from Kevin himself, because it likely will not happen. Best of luck with your project.
