Well it's going to have a cliffhanger ending. It will stand as one long film, but of course broken up into two parts, like the original Superman: The Movie and Superman II. I'm not fond of the "to be continued" line, but the first would end at a certain point and the next would pick up right afterwards. Both could be filmed at the same time, and could be released one summer and then the next. What, Warner Bros. wouldn't a want $200 million dollar blockbuster for two straight summers?

And knowing Kevin Smith's love for Superman & a fat paycheck for a cameo, why wouldn't they do it? Kevin has great taste, anyone who's a fan of Morris Day & The Time has got style and class. Hell I'd love to be in the scene for Superman fights the Phantom Zone Villains. If they wouldn't do it, there's always Ben Asslick. He should have died that wretched film with Bruce Willis, anyway.

And 250 pages isn't too long. After Superman IV: The Quest for Peace there has been no market for a Superman film. I just watched that movie on DVD and for the first 45 minutes it's actually pretty decent. Considering 45 full minutes were cut and the special effects were never finished, no wonder it was a dud. Hollywood is full of idiots though, i'm surprised Kevin actually got movies like Clerks, Mallrats, Chasing Amy and Dogma off the ground. His stories about the producer of "Superman Lives" are hilarious. Superman can't fly? He's gotta fight a giant spider? They don't make action films like they used to. Every summer it's something lame with huge explosions, Ben Asslick acting stupid with Bruce Willis, or George Lucas showing he's lost his way. Look at Phantom Menace. So painful to watch -- Anakin is too young and annoying, the Gungans are retarded and unneeded and there's not much excitement in the entire film. Look at the space battle for Naboo vs. the space battle in any other Star Wars film. Thankfully Episode II looks a lot better, with a better choice for Anakin, tons of action scenes with a very important Fett and a serious portrayal of Palpatine with a new apprentice.

Good luck on your Green Lantern script, I wish you the best. But keep an open mind about "250 page" Superman scripts. :)

: And I seriously doubt jay would agree to get killed in your movie. Besides, for all you know, he may get killed in J&SBSB. And although 250 pages is good for two movies, you may not want to call it a "two-part movie". People will think at the end of one it'll say "to be continued...". Say that the first leaves an open ending for a sequel that has already been written. Unless you want it to be a "to be continued..." ending, in which case, you're a fucknut. Personally, I'm working on a Green Lantern script. He's ten times the man that Superman is. LOOK AT HIS SUIT FOR CHRISSAKE!!!
