: And here I thought it was just some random stereotype. Of course, I also thought that "cheers" was a word that belonged strictly to 1950s England until it was spoken directly to me by a tourist who was from Australia or New Zealand or something. Accompanied by a thumbs-up and everything. I would have fallen over if I hadn't been at work and thus required to maintain a prefessional facade.
