I'm probably going to get in trouble for making an off topic post, but I don't give a fuck. Douglas Adams, pioneering author of the Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy novels, passed away Friday from a heart attack. Douglas Adams was a personal hero and, along with Kevin Smith, Trey Parker, and Llyod Kaufman, was a role model for me and how I approach my personal writing and the start of my career in entertainment. I feel incredibly lucky to have spoken, even if briefly and in an online chat, with Mr. Adams about a year ago. I know that Douglas Adams will be missed, but his memory will live on forever in his fans.
So long and thanks for all the fish, Doug.
