- Lion's Gate licensed out those rights and it ended up at Columbia and they wanted to do the special edition. We never anticipated the problems we ran into, and I can't really blame Columbia (well, I can blame them for the deleted scenes quality or lack thereof, but I digress), they were bound by the contracts imposed by Disney. And let's not forget, Columbia *IS* a "third party"- I doubt Criterion would have had any more luck, they'd have been bound by the same stupid rules imposed by Disney.

I guess Disney thinks they can rewrite history and make people forget that they ever had anything to do with DOGMA (shades of 1984, anybody?). God bless major corporations! What would we do without having them around to dictate what we see and hear?

: Couldn't you have got a third party to release the DVD like Criterion? If not, why was 'Amy' released by them?
