With that non-sense out of the way, a producer is someone who finances any project, whether it's stage, screen, etc. They usually supervise throughout the development stage of the project, as well.
So basically, what you have to do is find someone with money to spend, show them the script and whatever else you have completed, and if they like it, they'll agree to fund it. If they don't like it, well, you'll have to find someone else who's got some additional dollars to burn(well, more oft then not, that's what happens).
