Not on the level of renegade Catholic non-authorities using the flick as a springboard for their own media aspirations, but like I'm saying. Controversy doth not a good movie make. Controversy doth however make for good box office, usually, so who's complaining.
: : I dont recall any of his commentary getting beeped.
: : how can the king of the independents (KS) get so muffled by lawyers and
: : business men/women? I, for one, am very sad.
: KEVIN didn't "get muffled by the lawyers"- Columbia Tri-Star Home Video did. Did you really think that we personally authored and mastered the DVDs here in Red Bank, you tool?
Thus why he said businessmen & women, which I assume comprises the staff of Columbia. I don't see why you're getting defensive here just because some yokie kid didn't get to hear naughty words coming out of Kevin's mouth. Obviously Kevin didn't bleep himself or he wouldn't have bothered cussin' in the first place. Come Aug. 24th no doubt all Cletus' here fantasies will be fulfilled.
: And P.T. Adnerson has yet to make a movie that inspires the kind of controversy that DOGMA did.
True; he hasn't even made a movie that inspires the controversy that "Clerks" did. However one could argue that Kevin has yet to make a movie that has received the artistic credibility and critical recognition that "Magnolia" has.
To which you might say..."Critical recognition doth not a good movie make". Also very true.
