He basically said that a lot of the stuff with Will Ferell and the Orangutan where taken from the comic (with Ferell's Willenholly replacing Big Dog) and other bits like the planet of the apes dream sequence are also taken from the comics.
But in JASBSB these aren't flashbacks and they make no mention of the fact that these events have already happened to the characters. This sounds weird but I have faith that Kev can pull it off.
