Howdy,
I've taken a cursory scan of the board and haven't found this issue. Since it's such a prominent one, I hope it hasn't been addressed too recently.

I'd like to know if the new movie will contain more of the same metaphorical homo-eroticism that Clerks made famous. Will the verbal intercourse be more obvious between Jay and Silent Bob now that we know Jay is a closet case who thinks about men while pleasuring himself(see Dogma)? Will we finally get to see the buddies share an intimate kiss?

I've been looking forward to seeing how a man as brilliant as Kevin Smith will bring his movie world out of the cinematic closet. I thought he was heading in the right direction with Chasing Amy. Then the plot twisted away from the meat of the issue. Then came the religious posturing of Dogma which further clouded things, while making "homo jokes."

I want to know the real scoop here. I'm a great fan of Mr. Smith's work. I'm just troubled by his sexual ambiguity. Can we look forward to any resolution of issues or just more confusion in the upcoming film?
