Something that's been bugging me about Chasing Amy

Hi, I've posted here before eons ago, so I'm gonna skip the introduction.

So, anyway, I like to watch Chasing Amy a lot because it is quite reminiscant of something I went through, and there's one thing about it I never managed to figure out. The Bank Holdup studio, do Banky and Holden live there? I think it sorta looks like it, and Banky does say "That's my couch..", etc. But, still, he also says "..in my own office.." in another scene. So, that's my question, do they live there? And if so, where had Banky been all night when Holden managed to hook up with Alyssa?

Also, I asked this eons ago, but never got a reply; Is the Hicks name an homage to now dead stand up comedian Bill Hicks? It might seem obvious, but I'm not sure if it was intentional on Kevin's part or not.
