: Hi,
: I want to know where at imdb I can find independent movies and what independent exactly means. I saw, for example, that Pulp Fiction and Unbreakable are independent movies. I especially would not believe that Unbreakable is a independent movie, but according to imdb it is.
: Thanks,

Indie films -used- to mean any films that were made without a studio (and not just a 'major' studio) backing the production costs...nowadays, it's used very liberally (too liberally, in my opinion) to mean any 'Art House' flick, or films made by "Indie Directors" (ie. Smith, Tarentino, and...uh...that guy who made Pi).
Rule of thumb - if you see an unshaven man wearing patch-work clothing sleeping in a car, while using a reflector as a blanket and a tripod mount wrapped in universal countdown leader as a pillow, he is probably making an independant film.
