: : : Taking out kevin Smith movies by default (kind of like Citizen Kane on most lists) I would have to say some of my favourite include:

: : : Empire Records
: : : Almost Famous
: : : High Fidelity
: : : actually any movie with a good soundtrack.

: : : Currently my favourite is the Clerks DVD...I think I've watched it 10 times in the last 5 days..laf

: : We've been doing the same thing with the Clerks: Uncensored DVD. High Fidelity's a great one, fantastic pick, as is Almost Famous. I'd have to throw in Grosse Point Blank, too, most John Hughes films (Weird Science and Breakfast Club being the ones that come immediately to mind,) Real Genius... basically, think of a movie you never get sick of watching, something that's just always fun no matter how many times you've seen it. Those are always good ones. :-)
: haha...nice one with Real Genius...I honestly think that that movie is Hilarious. Not too many people remember it. I actually bought it.

I know, it's not one of your more well-known movies. But it was a family classic in my house growing up; my dad taped it off of HBO when I was a kid, and it's one of the few never to have been taped over or altered. It went to college with me. It's moved to various and sundry apartments with me. And it still, astonishingly, after all these years of sober and unsober repetitive watchings, works. ;-)
I still think it's one of Val Kilmer's best films.
