Everyone is entitled to there own opinions. And it bugs me when someone with a different opinion takes great offence. It is one thing when an opposing opinion is stated and a CONVERSATION takes place. But for some reason these "battle of wits" take place and everyone comes off looking like an ass. Name calling and emailing, it starts to get overblown.
Chevy Chase is not greatest actor in the world. But he has done very entertaining comedies. Someone posted before that he should try doing a drama to help him make a comeback. I think that is good idea. If he backs away from comedy for a while and does some serous drama then he might find his timing again.
I don't know his side of the Kevin Smith lunch. I don't know if he is holding a grudge towards Kevin or vice versa. But we have plenty of time to see what happens. For Christ sake, J&SBSB hasn't even hit the theaters yet and people are fighting over what is going to happen with a project that doesn't even have a script yet. Kevin wants to go on to do more grown up films. Why don't we all grow up with him?
