Abso-bally-lutely!! This was, years ago, my first experience of Adams' works, though hardly the last. It was WRITTEN for the radio, and was meant to be heard. The books came later, and while I enjoyed 'em enormously, I thoroughly agree that the original format should be produced in CD form.
Anyone recall the brilliant tale he told on Letterman (which eventually appeared in text) of his waiting at a train station eating a pack of cookies and drinking coffee while reading a paper - across the table from a man doing exactly the same thing? Without blowing the punchline for them what aint heard it, it's the kind of moment I can easily see in a future Smith-pic - i.e. it would work perfectly with an immobile camera.
