Just got home from a 7:45 showing at my local theatre. Almost thought I missed the trailer because my theatre has their clocks set ten minutes
ahead of the rest of the town's clock and start their projector really early.

Walked into the theatre in the middle of the American Pie 2 trailer. Didn't think it was that great, but as there were about 40 people in the theatre
it got decent enough laughs. Then there was a trailer for a horror picture of some sort and it was alright, but then as the title - "Jeepers Creepers"
- came on screen, it got uproarious laughter. Probably not what United Artists wanted for that picture. Didn't sound like they tested that trailer as
much as Dimension does theirs.

Then came on the Jay and Silent Bob trailer. Went over like gangbusters. Some applause at beginning and end, laughter all around, and hoots
and hollars at the introduction of each new cast member (Will Ferrell, George Carlin, Carrie Fisher, etc.). Could hear a few people ask others
when it came out, which is good, but something Dimension neglected to put on the trailer. Obviously not as good as the online trailer (only saw
trailer #1), but great for an MPAA "greenband" trailer. They should have really done a redband trailer, since Scary Movie was R rated and all.

And now for the feature itself. I liked the first SM, but shit was that sequel bad! After the James Woods sequence, laughter was absent from the
theatre for almost a whole reel. Long periods of silence were common. There were about six or seven walkouts. Lots of shifting in seats and
talking. Toward the end where Anna Faris and Chris Elliot are comparing moves (Crouching Tiger...drunken monkey...) a guy kept shouting stuff
like "This is horrible!" and "Turn it off!" I didn't really find myself laughing much either, though it was a tour-de-force movie for Anna Faris. She
unfortunately had the most noticable goof in the movie. In the final scene of the film, she turns around and you can see her radio mike transmitter
clipped to her pants. Then she puts her arms in the air and you see the mike wire going through her pants and up her shirt. Makes the radio mike
goof on Affleck in "Chasing Amy" pale in comparison. Lots of disgusted groans of people leaving the movie, and I saw one person try to get a
refund. Never seen a more unruly audience at a movie before. I guess the critics really were right. I really really hope this doesn't happen for Jay
and Bob.
