Kevin's PT Anderson bashing makes me sad...

I just watched the audio commentary and deleted scenes from Dogma SE and I was really disappointed about all the PT Anderson and Magnolia bashing. I love all the Kevin Smith films as well as all of Paul Thomas Anderson’s films. And I’m assuming I’ll be in the vast minority here when I say I thought Magnolia was amazing and the best film of 1999. I can’t help but think it may be just a little jealousy more then anything because Magnolia got more critical acclaim and Oscar nods.

But Dogma was a larger commercial success making around $8 million more at the box office and costing around $27 million less to make.

Something I keep thinking about is I wonder what Ben Affleck thinks about PT Anderson. I bring this up because that pre-taped MTV sketch he was in from SNL was written and directed by Paul Thomas Anderson. It’d be interesting to know how they worked together.
