So I'm parusing CNN.com, and they have this little Time magazine "Best of..." tie in, which includes Chris Rock for Best Comedian. Here's the link: (Don't click on it yet)
http://www.cnn.com/SPECIALS/2001/americasbest/frameset.rock.exclude.html
Now, here's the quirky part - they've got little summaries of his work, which as you all know includes an appearance in Dogma. Click on the Dogma picture, and you are greeted with the caption:
"'Dogma' (1999)
Rock, left, had a small part as a hip angel in "Dogma," a movie that was controversial among Catholics. ________ and Salma Hayek also starred."
Now, who do you think got the credit with (and preceeding, I might add) Selma Hayek? Ben Afflek? No. Matt Damon? No. Alan Rickman? No. The person deemed by Time to be the two most important actors to mention as being in the movie with Chris Rock is....
Jason Mewes.
Which leaves me wondering if the person who wrote this has really good taste (but then why Selma Hayek? A tribute to who Jay would like to be paired with?) or just picked two names at random from a release.
Actually, noting that the picture associated with the caption is one of Kevin, Chris and Jason on the bridge shortly after Chris's entrance to the film, perhaps the writer just thinks Selma has a beard.
Ah well, in any case, a big hi-5's to Jason.
