Ok, first of all, I have to say Dogma SE was well worth the wait. I held off on buying it untill it came out with a commentary edition. And some props go out to the people at my local (ok, it takes me an HOUR to get there, but ah well..) Reel Collections. Any other place if you ask them if a certain item is in stock, they ask you if you saw it on the shelf, if you say no, that is what THEY say. The fine folks at Reel Colections in Mercer Mall W.VA actualy spent 20 minutes looking for Dogma SE in the back room!
And suprise of suprises, I married into a Catholic family (I am Episcopalian), and was out helping mom-in-law pick out some movies to rent, and lo and behold she knocks me for a loop. I see her point to a video and say "Oh, I love that one!"
It was Dogma.
We ended up renting it and having a hour long discussion on it.
Now my question: Were Loki and Bartleby redeemed, Loki by trying to stop his freind, and Bartleby by his remorse? Azrael DID say the humans who populated Hell couldn't forgive themselves (Kevin, have you been reading Sandman??) so could they have finaly made it home??
Thanx for a great movie Kevin!
