Dear Mr.Kevin Smith,
This is just regaurding on what a great job you did on the New Jersey Trilogy and Dogma. This is my first time being on this site so I just wanna say congratulation on your first child and what a beautiful girl she is...(saw her with you on the new Dogma dvd SE which i just bought.) The reason why I'm writing this is because I'm not asking for a job or nothing like that. I'm just saying from a fan to a great writer as yourself (even Mallrats was a good movie! F**k the critics for talking s**t!) But ne wayz, I read one of your screenplay books on "Clerks" & "Chasing Amy" and the intro of how you got started. The thing is I'm trying to get started for myself as a writer or a film maker and I was wondering if you can throw me some of your advices or past experiences? (like a jedi master pasting to his apprentices...?) I have been buying some other screenplays like Matt & Ben's "Good Will Hunting". Helping me to guide myself by studying it and listening to movie's commentarys especially your movies. I'm just basically just your average Joe who trying to get by in life and to accomplish something or have some to say by puting it to film. Hopefully this message gets to you and one day we can meet up and just sit down and talk because you seem like a type of guy who would be too busy but would never let a fan or someone down!? Like I said before I'm not asking you for ne thing, just some good advice from a down to earth guy! Thanks for listening and K.U.G.W!!
Patrick
P.S. Just two question; Were you actually chasing Amy? How come there's never an Asian person in your flicks? (There has to be one in the suburb...?) Peace!!!!
