The Chevy Corvette is a high performance sports car and has
endured while some of its closest competitors, such as the Nissan
300ZX, the Toyota Supra, and the Mazda RX-7, have been
discontinued. Though it is a low sales volume vehicle in the Chevy
lineup, it is the highest performance vehicle sold by General Motors
and perhaps the Chevy vehicle with the most visibility. Nearly three
quarters of Corvette buyers are men with a significant number having
graduated from college. Most buyers have a median income of
$100,000 and are primarily professionals or managers. The primary
function of the Corvette is performance; each part of the car has been
designed for maximum performance relating to acceleration, braking
and handling. The Corvette also offers a high level of comfort with
such standard features as leather seating surfaces, air conditioning,
and power door locks and windows. Originally introduced as a
production car in 1953, the Corvette is the oldest surviving name in
American performance cars to date. The C5 Corvette incorporates
many new production techniques including a hydro-formed chassis,
full length perimeter frame and flexible sheet-molded compound
body panels. For the 1997 model year the Corvette was completely
redesigned from the ground up including, but not limited to, the
engine, chassis, suspension, and body. The Corvette now employs a
rear mounted transaxle connected to the engine via a torque tube,
rather than the traditional engine/transmission/driveshaft
arrangement. For 1999, Chevrolet introduced the Corvette Hardtop,
the first fixed roof Corvette since 1967.

: : When Chevy makes his comeback like Travolta did, I'm going to
post here and rub your faces in it. It will be soon, my friends...It WILL
be soon...

: ... if this happens, but you'll still be a Cocksucking Liar!

: Look, you can believe what you want. I asked a legitimate question,
based on what I've seen and opinions I've formed from it all.

: As it is, I've admired much of Chevy's work and I'm, as much as
anything, saddened that he has chosen to throw his career down the
toilet.

: Clearly you, with your bizarre over-the-top admiration for the man,
will be much more thrilled and that's great for you, but if you expect I'll
hide my head in shame, you're much mistaken.

: Am I the only one wondering if this guy is Chevy's agent, though?
You've got to imagine that his agent must have approximately the
same kind of ineptitude at convincing other people of things, like
Chevy's enormous talent.
