… that you only listed about half his movies, right? And that having around half - or even a little more – of his films based on earlier characters and/or works puts him in a class with such other hacks as Orson Welles, Akira Kurosawa and Martin Scorsese. Damn, who the hell would want to be on a shitty list like that? How embarrassing!

I'm just sick of this bullshit. The PTA thing had an excuse; the PTA Zombies were coming daily to harass us with their snotty ill-educated posts about the wonders of every frame of film the man ever shot. The Jon Favreau thing I thought was stupid all around.

But this… Fuckin' come on!

ED WOOD is in my Top 10 movies of all time. I'd even – sorry, Kevin – rank it above CHASING AMY. PEE-WEE'S BIG ADVENTURE, EDWARD SCISSORHANDS and NIGHTMARE BEFORE CHRISTMAS are magnificent works of cinema. BEETLEJUICE, BATMAN, BATMAN RETURNS and MARS ATTACKS! are all a boatload of fun and visually original and stunning. SLEEPY HOLLOW ended up not working entirely, but it also has a lot worthwhile in it as well. PLANET OF THE APES is worse than the original in every single way possible – the only potential argument is the makeup, but I can make an argument there, too – and the first Burton movie ever that simply did not like…

So, he missed the joke in Kevin's statement. Were we there to hear how it was told to him? Maybe the question was phrased without irony.

Besides that, it just isn't worth getting all wound up about. He has a right to like and not like what he wants… and to utterly dismiss what he likes.

Seriously, get over it and stop embarrassing the rest of us.
