I sound like an asshole saying this but its kinda a good advertising ploy. Getting the huge star in JNSBSB to have this sudden controversial scandal then having the main but unknown char of the film visit him, and u know there are press there 24/7 watching the guy from Ally Mcbeal so a perfect chance to get some free advertising.
I also think that the Tom Cruise - Penolpe Cruiz thing has gotta be a setup. They gain oh so much from being seen together.
