I support Kev and everything he does. His works have made me love for hours on end as well as touched me in many unsuspected ways. That's why I'm such a fan. And his movies have hit me a point in my life where I'm dealing with many of the same issues that are themes for his movies: restlessness, idleness, faith crisis, and dealing with a loved one's past. Having said that, I completely understand GLAAD'S stance. Jokes are jokes, satire is satire, but some kids don't realize that. Just look at some of the ridiculous posts on this board from kids who obviously haven't read Kevin's comments, or Scott Seomin's letter and response to Kev (by the way, I had never heard the name Scott Seomin before this whole debocle(?) ). There are kids who hear third-hand that a homosexual issues group made a comment about Jay and Bob and they just flip out with "that's gay, fags are silly, they've got no right, etc." I think that GLAAD has killed their own argument in their initial release however. They say, "we saw 'Amy' and it was great and inspiring, but we still think your new flick has the potential to harm people's opinions." I just can't think you can say that J&SBSB has potential to damage, IF you think that 'Amy' was so powerful. Oh well, fuck it. Let's move on. If we quit talking about this shit, it'll pass. Live and let live, I say. (and apparently GLAAD says too....)
