The only Burton film that I really like is Ed Wood. The rest of his oeuvre has not aged well with time and despite his visual dexterity, they range from being mediocre to bad (re: POTA). His fan-induced deification bewilders me.
Even though it's making a ton of money, POTA is the low point of Burton's career. Aimless direction, horrendous writing, and a complete lack of soul or vigor. The antithesis of a View Askew film.
I wonder...Is there some bad blood between Kevin and Tim because of Superman Lives? When addressing the issue, why did he feel the need to take a shot at him?
