First of all, I think that is an unfair, and very broad, generalization. Not all of us are like that. For those that ARE like that, yes, I think quite a bit of it is ass-kissing for the attention of Kevin. Fortunately, near as I can tell, these people scare Kevin as badly as they scare those of us who have a clue. We're not all mindless drones, bowing down to the demigod who is Kevin Smith. He's a human being with opinions, who makes kick ass movies/comic books/cartoons. Sometimes I share his opinions, sometimes I don't, but I usually respect them either way, and I will always think that the things of his I've seen so far are great.
Ignore the worshippers; try conversing with the fans.
