I think even most of the brighter people hope that, deep down in the secret places in their souls. C'mon, just because we don't worship him as a god doesn't mean we don't admire the hell out of him. I don't think they're necessarily hoping for a shot in a film, so much as the text equivalent of a thumbs up.
We're here because we like the man's work, and what we know of him, personally; I think we'd be lying if we said we weren't kinda hoping he'd think we're cool.
