Though actually, both are true. The new people are coming because of the film coming out, and they're getting caught up in these causes and issues. The amount of posts from the past few days is staggering, that's for sure.
The issues mean NOTHING, people. Yup. Really. I really, truly just said that. Because this isn't about GLAAD, or Tim Burton, or any of that. It's not even about kissing Kevin's ass and saying you despise things he's said, in passing, he wasn't entirely fond of.
It's about the things that View Askew has put out so far. Should the things Kevin and crew like, dislike, or do be talked about? Sure, I guess. Should they be elevated to the status of the decrees of the gods? Fuck, no. Remember, guys - it's all about the dick and fart jokes. *sigh*
Personally, I wish I'd been smart and started actually posting years ago, rather than just popping in to lurk on the rare occasion. Then I would be able to say these things with some sort of authority. Not that it would make any difference, but I'd at least have some time behind me so I could talk the way I talk and not be accused of using big words to confuse people.
