I'm glad Burton turned down Kevin's script because they are two totally different kinds of artists. Kevin uses words more than images to paint his pictures whereas Tim is the opposite. I'm not saying that the scenery in Kevin's flicks blow or the scripts of Tim's flicks suck, but that is just how those two stack up. Kevin is a very talented man, but I don't see him creating images such as the ones in Edward Scissorhands or Nightmare Before Christmas. But I don't see Burton helming flicks that have juicy dialogue like that in all of Kevin's films. They are two different kinds of artists that most likely wouldn't blend well. Too many cooks spoils the soup. If Kevin's script was going to be the one used for Superman, then he would be better off directing it rather than Burton. If Warners insists on Burton directing Superman, then have Burton/someone with his visual flare write the script.
