It's been almost an hour and I still have the biggest grin on my face.
First off -- Now that the book is officially closed on the ViewAskewniverse (officially, i might add), Kevin -- thank you. Thanks for what has been one helluva ride. I will be back next week with friends, family, hell i'll even bring my enemies to see the flick again next weekend.
As for tonight, I was surprised to see that they were showing the flick on TWO screens, one at 8:00 and the next at 8:05. The theater i was in was nearly packed, and assuming the other was as well, then I hope that means that everyone will also be bringing their friends and family to see the final Ray & Silent Bill (hee hee) flick next weekend. I couldn't even stay for the freebie movie, The Others. It would have ruined this evening's experience. I just didn't want to shake all the positive vibes i had coming out of this flick. Kev - as one of your "really big fans" and a general movie nut, you had me laughing up a couple of lungs with alot of those scenes and dialogue, especially while the boys were on the lot. Just flat-out hilarious, man. i wish i could talk more specifics, but i don't want to ruin anyone's time if they have yet to see said flick. i'll buy ya a beer at The Dublin one night if ya want, and we can shoot the shit then perhaps.
Also - i wore the official J&SBSB t-shirt today (which you can buy at the Secret Stash, 35 Broad St., Red Bank, NJ -- ha ha), and if it's any indication - there's alot of awareness out there about the flick, as i had a few people come up to me and ask me where i got the shirt, and i heard some other people commenting (positively) in passing as well. this can only mean good things.
and people -- stay ALL the way till the credits end.
Kevin - thanks again man. May next weekend's grosses exceed all your expectations.
