First off, this movie is an excellent send off to the pharoh wizards of independent cinema, Jay and Silent Bob. It also managed to appeal to the 2/3rds of the audience that werent hardcore fanboys. Even though i thought i would get to see the others for free afterward, the 7.50 was well worth it, and it will be two or three more times next week and after..and another 19.99 (please?) for the dvd.
As for the audience, the laughter was divided between the fan boys with their in jokes, the mass appeal humorists, and the chuckles from the girls that the fanboys dragged in.
Only a few things fell flat, and it wasnt as dialogue heavy as Kevin's others, but otherwise it was awesome..without delving into spoilers the two highlights for me were affleck and damons scene, and the spoof of a certain other movie.
Unlike alot of posts i have read, i enjoyed the not one, not two, not three, but four looks to the audience. It shows just how much a fan movie this was..how it will fare next week should be great..i have no doubt that this will make more than the other four combined.
