: I'm sorry, but several things in this movie scream of Kevin being a sellout. Scooby Doo?? That is -sellout-.
How is mocking Scooby Doo a "sellout"? Please back this up somehow (IN THIS THREAD, PLEASE!!!).
: Also including just about the whole cast of American Pie (a lame, lame film).
Yes, AP is a lame, lame film...a point which is DIRECTLY STATED in JASBSB. Of course, you -did- have to piss, and yes, that does directly affect the other higher functions of the brain (laughter, etc).
As for your other complaints - calling Chris Rock's character racist is essentially the same as calling something like Blazing Saddles racist - it's actually making a mockery of racism, aka. satire. It's thinking like that which gets people like GLADD on Smith's ass.
The nods towards the audience - it's overused, but the film also pokes fun at itself for overusing it. In my personal philosophy, as long as you are -aware- that you're doing something stupid, it's okay...and if done to the extreme, it's downright hilarious.
Quick aside: South Park - the kids made fun of the T & P movie for having crappy animation. Funny stuff.
Try this - make one more post, in the same vain as your previous 3 (4? I lost count) similar posts, but this time go OVER THE TOP. Stop making excuses for yourself (I'm a fan...REALLY GUYS...er...), stop pussyfooting around subjects, and just go Black Rage on this webboard. Then get really drunk, read what you wrote, and I assure you that you'll laugh your ass off.
Oh, and just to keep from adding another redundant "I LOVE YOUR COCK, MR. SMITH" posts, I'll just add on my own review...setup: packed audince, Lowell, MA. Everyone from 10 (yes, 10) to 60 years old, all obvious fans (there was an old couple with matching brody shirts). 1/2 the audience was slightly enebriated from thier private pre-JASBSB Smith Film Festivals earlier today. I, and everyone there, loved the flick, from beginning to end. The exposition took a bit to get through (did catch a few nervous looks from the audience, worried that the pace of the jokes wouldn't pick up), but after Jay and Bob kidnapped Suzanne...damn, non-stop laughter from the whole crowd. Afterwards, there were tailgate parties in the lot, but damned if I didn't have to go home with my parents (oh how I loathe the summer).
