All that aside, I am not going to see Bubble Boy because it looks like ASS.
: Though I would say no movie escapes the can without at least someone being offended, this case kinda feels different.

: This is not the kevin smith kind of controversy, where it was perhaps a misunderstanding or a misjudgement. This isn't the eyes wide shut kind, where it makes the film seem extraneously racy, forcing theater owners to card at the theater entrance. It isn't even the There's Something About Mary controversy, where the mentally disabled kids were blatantly set up for humor, but so was everyone else. It's not even the warholian fantasy where someone just wants the spotlight and gets it by complaining.
: From what the previews reveal it seems the issues raised are actually valid. I get kind of sick to my stomach thinking about a whole movie making fun of someone who is confined and whose real life counterpart could die at any minute. Their point about aids seems true. Try making gia a comedy and coming out human.
: Now, I'm not one for boycotting or censorship, so I will in no way try to block it's way, but I just wanted to see if anyone is as offput as I am now by this movie's previews. I'll end up seeing it one day for fairness sake, but second run video seems like the best time right now.
: And to think, jasb get's all this flack for possibly negatively effecting the perception of homosexuals, while bubble boy gets a quiet hissing for making fun of a deceased little boy.
