A week or so ago I posted a brief note re: JASBSB DP/cameraman Jamie Anderson coming into the record store I work at (while on his vacation) and offering to send me a copy of the new film's poster. That gesture alone made him a favored customer. Now, fast forward 7-10 days, and who should call the shop asking for me? Mr. Jamie Anderson! He wants to know when I'll be in so he can - get this - deliver the poster himself! Talk about going the extra mile for someone you don't even know! A few hours later, in he comes with the poster, still acting like it's no big thing. I only got to look at it quickly at first, and all I read of the inscription was "It's good to know Jamie Anderson, isn't it?" Hell, yes, I thought and rolled it up again, not getting to fully unroll it and take a really good look at it until after he'd left. And guess what? The above inscription? It had one more line to it. "KEVIN SMITH"!
Can you believe this guy? Not only does he get me the poster he totally didn't have to get, he has it signed for me by the film's director!
