Well, I must say this was a fitting close to Jay and Silent Bob. I've met Mr. Smith once - right after chasing amy was released at Rutgers University. All I can say is this - he was one of the coolest 'famous' persons I've encountered (not too many, but still).
I realize he prob. won't even see this, but the fact that he came to our school and had dinner with us, did a Q&A, and signed some posters...and something - which I can't mention (for Kevin's agent's mailbox's sake) - has made him stand out to me forever.
For anyone that hasn't met him, take this as a story for how is was/is (he's come a long way...so who know's if he's been corrupted by hollywood yet :) j/k)). At dinner, instead of spouting off, or being a jerk, he actually had us (the people running the event) all come in, eat with him and listened to the stupid stories a campus cop told.
So, for anyone that rips the movie - or Mr. Smith for whatever reason - realize he is actually a pretty cool guy. Hopefully I'll be able to truck on down the shore and stop by the Stash sometime and he'll be there so I can meet him again - but who knows.
My Rating: ***** biased stars out of 5.
And Mr. Smith, one thing - if you do read this - I want to know...how did you and Jason Meyes get over the fact that the monkey - make that ape - might go crazy if it hit puberty unnoticed during filming? :) Hehe.
