Jay & Silent Bob Strikes Back was bootylicious! It had lots of great laughs, hot girls, a nice story and enough in-jokes and goofy cameos to satisfy even the nerdiest fan. When J&SB started kicking those 12 year old's asses, I nearly split my sides laughing. It even featured the requisit 'funny scene after the credits' which is the true mark of a great film. I left the theater however feeling like something was missing. Then it cam to me.. NO DEGRASSI JR HIGH REFERENCES! There were enough Star Wars references to fill 10 View Askew movies, but no Degrassi references as far as I could tell. Maybe Kevin Smith is holding back as he works on his plans to make the first Degrassi Movie as his next project.
Of course, rumor has it that Degrassi High is coming back next season on CBC a la Saved By the Bell the New Class, with Wheels, Joey and most of the old class reuniting! That should hold me.
