I have to say I wasn't really all that aware of Kevin's stuff up until Dogma, which I loved. After seeing Dogma I rented Clerks, Mallrats and Chasing Amy, enjoying them all. I guess I officially became a fan then. I love the fact that Kevin has intricate storylines and places for each character he's created inside his world. Therefore, I looked forward to seeing Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back based on the fact that I'd get a chance to see the characters from past movies pop up here and there.
Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back had a lot more humor than any of Kevin's other flicks. At first I thought, "That really wasn't like his other stuff." But then I though, "It shouldn't be." Because Jay and Silent Bob are the ones bringing the humor into all of Kevin's other movies. Finally, with a movie based solely around Jay and Bob themselves, what more could you expect then one hell of a funny ass movie. I dug it big time. It was cool to see the fact that shots at actual movies were taken and seeing characters like Ben Affleck jumping from being Holden to playing himself. It almost seemed like a movie inside a movie at times, but I thought it was great. I also liked picking up different and not so obvious things along the way that were a part of the other films. For instance, a Buddy Christ in the nun's car, cool stuff. Anyways, good job Kevin. I "got it" as they say, good luck man, I've enjoyed your work.
